4th day and counting
So….it is Day 4 and am doing much better. I walked outside for about 10 minutes yesterday to get some fresh January air, which helped. I also have stopped the pain killers. I took my last dose yesterday morning, thinking that I needed it. I decided to stop them and only take them if I felt any pain. It has been 24 hours and no pain. The instructions indicated to take them every 4 hours on an as needed basis. I guess “as needed” depends on whether you experience pain.
I remember a couple years back when I had laser eye surgery. The doctors had mentioned to only take the pain medication if I experience pain. Since I didn’t experience pain, I didn’t need them. They were very impressed that I didn’t take a single pill as people usually do. I remember a few years back when returning for my post-operative visits that I saw people with headaches and migraines as a result of their laser eye surgery. Me….no problems except for the one healing contact lens having to be replaced.
Back to present day….it is Saturday and I will try to continue reading. How far along am I on my book initiative? Not very far. I am about 6 pages into my Rick Mercer book. What has kept me busy in the mean time? The Australian Open in Melbourne. I have not sat down to watch a tennis tournament in a while, so I thought it would be good to catch up on the current top players in this sport as I am sitting most of the day.
I hope everyone is doing well.
